Takeru Kobayashi’s hot dog record broken this weekend

Joey “Jaws” Chestnut ate 59-1/2 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes and set a new world record in Tempe Arizona this weekend.

He finished second to Takeru Kobayashi in the Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest where Kobayashi set the world record of 53-3/4 hot dogs and buns. Kobayashi has held the hot dog eating world record for several years and is the top ranked competitor in the International Federation of Competitive Eating. Joey Chestnut is second.

Hey–what else to bring me back to posting than a new IFOCE record?

  1. My sister was at this event and saw it all go down!

I just wanted to let you know that I found your ice cream recipe here, and I am trying it today. I just put the custard in the fridge, and I might mix it up tonight!
